Casual Winter Outfits That You’ll Love
1. Puffer Jacket and Jeans
Especially if you live in an area that is freezing cold, puffer jackets are the single best piece of clothing item you can wear in the winter season.
The key to finding a chic puffer coat is to find one that’s either very oversized or one that’s cropped just at your waist. It also needs to be very puffy.
A simple causal winter outfit can be a puffer and some straight-leg jeans. To keep your feet warm and to match the outfit, wear a pair of black or brown boots.
2. Puffer Jacket and Scarf
Another puffer coat outfit for winter is to wear your puffer with a cozy scarf. There’s something very chic about creating lots a bulky outfit – the bulkier the better. This outfit does just that.
Not only does this give an aesthetic casual winter outfit, but it will keep you extremely warm, especially if you choose a scarf that’s made with wool or cashmere.
3. Puffer Jacket, Scarf, and Leggings
I have a third puffer outfit for you! This time, we’re wearing a pair of leggings for the bottom. Leggings by themselves won’t be very warm so only wear this if it’s above 40°F outside. If you want to stay extra warm, wear some thermal pants underneath your leggings.
To make this outfit look extra cozy, wear some socks with your Ugg boots and layer on a warm scarf.

4. Sweater and Leggings
If it’s not too cold in your area in the winter time, try wearing a colored sweater and leggings! I love the leggings, socks, and Uggs look. So cozy.
To accessorize this outfit, wear a red bow in your hair!
5. Brown Leather Fleece Jacket and Blue Jeans
I love the brown faux leather fleece jacket for the winter season. It keeps you very warm and looks so classy at the same time.
For this casual winter look, wear the jacket along with some loose blue jeans and a scarf. Put on a beanie too if it gets chilly.
6. Brown Leather Fleece Jacket and Black Jeans
Using that same brown fleece jacket, change up the look by wearing a pair of black jeans instead! I love the look of flared jeans so if that’s your style, go for it!
Wear a pair of black boots like Dr. Marten’s with this look. Sneakers will work too but black boots will make this look more stylish.
7. White Long Coat and Scarf
Another must-have winter wardrobe staple piece is a long coat! A white long coat is so classy and when you wear it with a long scarf, white jeans or pants, and Ugg boots, it just looks so cozy and feels so comfortable.
8. White Long Coat and Black Jeans
Reusing that same white coat, we’re going to wear some black jeans underneath instead of white pants in the last outfit. Also, wear a turtleneck sweater inside if you’re not going to wear a scarf to add more layers. Then, put on a pair of black boots and even ear muffs!
9. Plaid Coat and Black Jeans
Another long coat idea is to wear a long plaid coat. This makes the outfit look much more dressier than just a plain white coat. When you pair it with some black ankle boots, it instantly makes the outfit look super elegant.
Black jeans go really well with this look!
10. Plaid Coat and Brown Boots
Using that same plaid coat, we’re going to switch up the boots and wear some brown Chelsea boots instead. This makes the outfit look more suitable for everyday wear and slightly more casual. Pair this outfit with a brown bag to match with the boots!
11. Long Beige Coat and Sneakers
The third type of long coat we’re featuring in this causal winter outfit ideas post is a beige wool coat. I love how classic this coat looks and it’s so easy to style.
For this outfit, wear a pair of black jeans and sneakers. A bucket hat goes well with the look too.
12. Long Beige Coat and Sweater Drape
Using that exact same outfit, just drape a neutral-colored sweater over your shoulders and there you have a whole new look!
This makes the outfit look even cozier and it’s also very practical. You never know when you need an extra layer to wear when it’s freezing outside.
13. Brown Jacket and Black Jeans
When I’m in the snow, I think of an outfit like this one. A cozy brown sherpa coat, black pants, and the coziest oversized scarf. Don’t forget the ear puffs!
This outfit isn’t waterproof so I would only wear it on a day that doesn’t rain or snow.
14. Brown Jacket and Blue Jeans
That same brown jacket can be used worn with a pair of blue jeans to create a whole new outfit! Make sure to wear an oversized scarf to go with the look!
15. Leather Jacket and Scarf
I absolutely love the look of tall black boots but they’re just not that practical for winter weather. Until I found out there’s something called fleece tights that are actually thick enough to keep you warm. Those are a life saver if you want to wear an outfit like this one.
Wear this outfit with an oversized scarf and a nice leather jacket.
16. Wool Blazer and Tall Boots
Using the same pair of high boots and fleece tights, you can create another outfit using a blazer or something warmer like a short wool coat.
17. Cozy Sweater and Brown Pants
We’re going very basic with this outfit. On the top, wear a cozy neutral-colored sweater and for the bottoms, wear a pair of dark brown pants. Wear a black belt to elevate the look. Sneakers also go well with this outfit.
18. Cozy Sweater and Black Pants
Now instead of the brown pants, wear some black pants and wear the same cozy oversized sweater. There you have another casual winter fit!
Accessorize with earrings and a crossbody bag.
19. Cozy Sweater and Blue Jeans
Here’s a third outfit with the same cozy knit sweater! Wear it with a pair of dark wash blue jeans and black loafer. Add some extra dimension and color to the outfit by wearing a white button-up shirt underneath but have it stick out a bit.
To keep warm, you can even wear a beige trench coat over this outfit.
