Scottsdale is one of my favorite low-key cities to visit because it’s not crowded with visitors but there’s still so much to do. If you’re planning a Scottsdale trip, here is a Scottsdale packing list to help you pack for all seasons of the year. This list can be used as a Phoenix packing list also because the weather in both places is quite similar.

Scottsdale Packing List in Spring/Summer/Fall
Summer in Scottsdale is scorching hot and it can surpass 100 degrees Fahrenheit easily. However, in late spring and early fall, Scottsdale is pretty hot and could go up to the 90s during the day. This is what to wear in Arizona.
Short-Sleeve/Sleeveless Tops
The first thing on the Scottsdale packing list is short sleeve shirts or sleeveless ones if that’s more your style. You’ll be wearing these from day to night to stay cool. I recommend bringing neutral color shirts so they can match more outfits.
Blooming Jelly White Blouse
Milumia Sleeveless Top
Shorts
Next, you’ll definitely need some shorts in this hot weather. Pair the tops with shorts! Wear jean shorts for a more casual look and wide-leg shorts for a more classic look.
Levi’s 501 Original Shorts
Wide Leg Shorts
Sundresses
If you’re thinking about what to wear in Arizona and it’s hard to come up with outfits, go for sundresses!
Sundresses are on our Scottsdale packing list because they’re easy to wear and you don’t need to think about what to pair them with. It’s just one piece! They’re also great to wear in hot weather too.
In the summer, go for short sundresses to stay extra cool, and in spring or fall, go for sundresses of any length of your preference (ex. midi sundresses or maxi sundresses)
Zesica Boho Sundress
SheIn Mini Sundress
Thin Jacket
Just in case it gets a little chilly in the nighttime of Spring or Fall, add thin jackets to your Scottsdale packing list. I personally love putting on an oversized button-down shirt with the buttons unbuttoned. It gives such a relaxed look yet adds just the right amount of extra warmth.
If you want a slightly thicker jacket, there are plaid jackets out there that are just a bit thicker like this one.
Big Dart Oversized Button Down
Magritta Button-Down Jacket
Sandals
In this kind of weather, you’re not going to want to wear socks so sandals will be your best friend. I’ve been loving the one-band across sandals and I think they’re super trendy.
Amazon Flat Banded Sandal
Slide Sandal w/ Tie Knot
Swimsuit
Jumping into the pool on a really hot day is the first thing I want to do. So bringing a swimsuit is a must.
Scottsdale has a few artificial beaches but I think what’s best are the pools. If the hotel you’re staying at happens to have a nice pool, I’d say spend a chunk of your time there!
Upopby Swimsuit
Handheld Fan
We cannot leave out this packing list for Scottsdale without mentioning this important item – a handheld fan. When I’m in places with hot weather and don’t have easy access to AC, this is my lifesaver. Get a mini one like this one so it can easily fit in your personal bag.
Jisulife Mini Handheld Fan
Scottsdale Packing List In Winter
Winter in Scottsdale can be quite chilly during the nighttime. The weather cools down pretty much starting in late fall and early spring. Here’s what to pack for Scottsdale AZ in October to February.
Thin Sweater
Add thin sweaters to your packing list for Arizona because they will keep you warm enough during the daytime and at night, you can layer on a jacket to stay warm. A loose sweater or tighter-fit sweater are good options.
Amazon Essentials Thin Sweater
Amazon Essential Crewneck Sweater
Thermal Undershirts
What to wear in Arizona in October? It’ll have to be these thermal undershirts.
A jacket might be too warm but a thin sweater might not be enough so a thermal undershirt will help keep you warm while wearing not too much.
Warm Thermal Shirts
Jeans
Jeans are the best type of jeans to keep you warm and always stay stylish. Straight-leg jeans are always a classic style.
Levi’s Wedgie Straight Jeans
Levi’s Ribcage Straight-Leg Jeans
Jacket
Bring one or two jackets of your choice to Scottsdale. Fleece jackets are always really comfortable and warm to wear.
Amazon Essentials Fleece Jacket
Levi’s Original Sherpa Denim Jacket
What To Pack To Scottsdale: All Seasons
Here’s the rest of the packing list and what you should pack regardless of the season.
Personal Bag:
An easy-to-carry, lightweight bag is a must to bring along. I love crossbody bags like this one!
Pajamas:
Bring one pair of PJs to sleep in every night.
Leggings:
Arizona has some nice hiking trails! If you’re into hiking or just working out at the gym, bring a pair of leggings.
Athletic Shirt:
Bring an athletic shirt to go with the leggings for your workout.
Underwear/Bras:
A must, of course.
Socks:
If you’re bringing sneakers, bring a few pairs of socks!
Sneakers:
Sneakers are great to wear to Scottsdale in the winter season. It’s not cold enough for boots, but just the right temperature for sneakers. You can wear it during other seasons as well but you might not be happy with the sweat.
Carry-on Luggage:
If Scottsdale is just a short trip, chances are a carry-on luggage is big enough!
Sunglasses:
It’s always good to bring a pair of two of sunglasses to protect your eyes.
Jewelry:
Bring any personal jewelry you’d like to pair with your outfits!
Wallet:
Don’t forget this!
Skincare & Sunscreen:
If you have travel-size skincare, bring that! But most importantly, bring sunscreen. This sunscreen stick is my favorite (so convenient to use and leaves a dewy finish on the skin).
Makeup:
Try to pack only the makeup essentials.
Reusable Water Bottle:
On trips, I always bring a water bottle so I stay hydrated throughout the day.
